Pattern: Keynote / Yarn: John Arbon, knit by numbers
I've been so busy working on different projects lately that I barely touched this sweater these past few weeks. I didn't have that much left to do, but I spent so much time on the buttonband that I really thought to put it aside for a while.
I’ve never been really careful with the finishing of my sweaters, even tough I always thought that this step was really important. But this time I took the time to make it just the way I wanted to. I ripped back the button bands two times, just to make sure that one side was no too baggy compared to the other, that the button holes had a nice finish, and that the button themselves were facing the holes (that’s really tricky to archive actually!).
And I’m so pleased with the yarn. Now that we wake up with minus temperatures, and that my wardrobe didn’t have that many warm clothes, I’m very glad with this new merino addition. The yarn is incredibly soft and warm, and it holds the stitches so well! Regarding the color, I first wanted to get the "mocha" shade that I first spotted at Meadow yarn, but there wasn't enough of that yarn to complete a whole sweater unfortunately. So I chose this dark forest green instead, and I'm very glad I did (Even though, I'll still be hunting the web to find that mocha yarn).
Until next time, I wish you a beautiful evening, and some happy knitting.
