A knitter's autumnal wishlist

A Knitter's Automnal Wishlist

October 04, 2015 in knitter's wishlist, Knitting

I love new beginnings. The light gets softer, the leaves start changing to stunning subtle gold and orange colors, Autumn is here and a new season starts. Even though I'm not at school anymore, I always consider this time of the year as a new beginning. It's the time when I like to get a new planner, new supplies, get more organize and decluter. And it's even more the case this year, because our current living room has been completely reorganized, allowing me to work from there, and stash my messy creativity!

  1. I like to keep track of my designs and personnal knitting projects in different diaries. Journaling is something that I have always enjoyed, and keeping physical memories is something that I'm passionate about. My design diary is very similar to this one.
  2. I came across this very neat tutorial the other, and thought of giving it a try very soon.
  3. This is the yarn that I'm currently obsessed with.
  4. After coming back from the hospital with my half broken toe, I treated myself to my very first little box of løv organic tea. I'm not sure if they had this specific blend or not, but that's something that I would definitely want to try.
  5. Have you heard about Twig and Horn? Beautiful aesthetic, gorgeous pictures. I run out of wooly soap, and I would very much like to give a try to their soap.

Swatches diary: fern stitch

September 23, 2015 in Swatches diary, Knitting

It's been a while since I added an entry to my "swatches diary", and it's not that I don't have swatches to show you. On the contrary, lately I have been knitting so many swatches, that I'm thinking of getting myself a bigger folder to organise them.

Ponderosa

September 19, 2015

Fall is here! Well it's been here for a couple of weeks already!

Ialways associate this season with many cosy things to wear, fun activities to do and delicious comforting food. It's my favourite time of the year for all of the reasons mentionned above.
I started wearing knitwear religiously, and my knitting time is even more enjoyable than usual. I've been so inspired lately to create new designs, and Ponderosa is the first one to come.

“As soon as the Summer ends, the mushrooming season starts.
On the weekends, I usually wake up early in the morning, get ready, put my boots on, grab my foraging basket, my Ponderosa hat, head out to the train station, and wait for the train that will take me to my favourite part of the woods.

This specific forest is called Kalngales, and its is magical.
Its floor is always covered by a carpet of evergreen moss, and pine trees are scattered all around.

One weekend, after walking for a couple of hours, gathering mushrooms and heather on my way, I decided to stop for a little break. I cooked the mushrooms in the middle of the woods, had some tea and layed down on my back for a while, looking at the tall trees that were around me.”
